Vacancy: Technical Superintendent in Abu Dhabi

We are a leading Middle East shipping company that owns and manages a fleet of vessels of different types operating Worldwide.

The company operates a fleet of;

• Eight LNG carriers, Two RoRo vessels, Two converted Bulk carriers, One IMO II Chemical / product tanker, and One Molten Sulphur carrier.

• The company is expecting delivery of 15 vessels by the end of 2011.

An opportunity has arisen within the Fleet Division for the following post:

TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT

This position will be:

• Reporting to the Technical Manager.

• Provides the required marine engineering and technical knowledge and support to designated ships, ensuring the technical efficiency, cost control and safety of vessels.

• Deputises, as required, the Technical Manager.

• Implements and Coordinates with masters and chief engineers the planned maintenance and dry-docking of ships.

Qualifications, Skills / Competencies

1. Class-I, Motor and/or Steam Certificate of competency.

2. Sufficient experience as Chief Engineer preferably on tankers / gas carriers.

3. Experience in Engineering Superintendent position.

4. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English & Computer literate.
