Senior approval engineer
Our clients need a Senior approval engineer in Shanghai,
Responsibilities: - Approve hull drawings
- Answer external requests and questions
- Calculate/check submitted materials according to standards and practice
- Prepare structural calculations/check documentation
- Maintain relevant project flow in according to NPS system
- Handle of submitted materials (electronic and paper)
- Follow relevant Rules for Classification of Ships, Classification Notes and good engineering practice
- Verify work and documents
- Propose changes of Rules, quality system, computer software, procedures and practical routines
- Join the responsibility for quality with colleagues working on the same project
- Coach junior approval engineer
Qualifications:
- Naval Architect MSc or BSc degree,
- Relevant competence in (CSR tanker Rules) including direct calculations
- Overall knowledge about approval process
- Minimum 5 years working experience as hull approval engineer
- Familiar with MSC Patran/ and having design experience would be an advantage
