Wärtsilä is looking for: Project Engineer: Hydrodynamics & Concept Design

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Hull form development and optimisation
•Develop ship propulsion concepts
•Perform ship power predictions and stability evaluations
•Evaluate and supervise model tests
•Participate in development of new ship designs, feasibility studies, economic evaluations for MLS customer projects
•Support customer meetings and provide ship design input and promote Wärtsilä solutions
•Participate in the development of novel futuristic ship concepts

QUALIFICATIONS
•MSc, Hydrodynamics or similar education
•Understanding of probabilistic intact and damage stability calculations
•Hull form optimisation with CFD
•Excellent knowledge of ship design softwares (NAPA or Maxsurf)
•Professional with ability to work in multicultural matrix environement
•5-15 years expersience from ship design company, shipyard or model test facility
