Island View Shipping, a division of Grindrod Shipping Pte. Ltd., is a dynamic and expanding dry cargo shipping company. Expansion is particularly focused in building a new Supramax operation to be freight providers to blue chip charterers as well as to our own in house trading divisions. The company is seeking:
CHARTERING MANAGER
Main Tasks:
- To strengthen our chartering desk in negotiating the group's ships and cargo positions on a world wide basis.
- To market the company name and to develop good relationships with quality charterers, traders and brokers.
- To liaise closely with our operations department and help ensure the IVS service to our clients is first class.
- A strong negotiator with a solid chartering background and a goodknowledge of the Supramax market. Highly motivated, with drive and ambition, you will be involved in the world wide chartering activities of the group with a particular focus on Asia.
