JOB TITLE Senior Marine Support Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is one of the worlds leading marine electronics and navigation equipment manufacturers. They are now recruiting for an experienced and customer focused manager with experience within after sales and support to run and expand their current support department.

Key duties and responsibilities
• Drive overall Marine OEM strategy in EMEA to support upcoming Marine OEM Business.
• Work closely with all territories in the EMEA and Marine Sales team to identify needs and ensure appropriate resources, skills and procedures are in place to support Marine OEM business.
• Ensure all territories provide uniform and seamless support across all territories in line with customer and OEM expectations.
• Ensure effective handover of technical OEM knowledge to general Marine Support teams to ensure class-leading support once the boat is delivered to the end customer.
• Manage UK Marine Support team.
• Manage overall training needs and ensure all Marine Support teams across the
EMEA (offices and dealers / distributors) provide a uniform high-level of support.
• Provide, effectively communicate and implement OEM support vision across all EMEA territories.
• Ensure we meet and exceed our customers’ expectations, and drive towards class-leading support to further facilitate OEM sales (just as we do with aviation today).
• Participate in high-level OEM discussions to galvanize and solidify OEM relationships, identify needs, and ensure a high degree of confidence is provided to OEM customers.

Technical Requirements
• Project Management qualification.
• Marine technical / electronic qualification or equivalent experience.
Education and experience
• Experienced support specialist with strong Marine technical breakdown with experience of managing support needs for large OEMs and boat-builders.
• Must be a recognised and well-respected technical expert within the Marine industry, in order to build OEM confidence in our support network in the EMEA territories.
• Excellent customer-focussed individual with proven experience working with large OEM suppliers.
• Excellent people-management and project management experience.
• Ability to impart a culture of continuous improvement in Marine Support.
• Excellent understanding of competitor offerings in Service and Support.
• Ability to inspire confidence and galvanize relationships with OEM customers.

SALARY Approx £40,000
