Our client is a long established ship owning international service company and requires a Chartering Broker Manager.
As well as dealing with industry leading organisations, they are also involved in national and local government organisations including health, education, transport, science and defence.
The Chartering Broker Manager will provide professional leadership for new business and support for existing contracts in organic growth;

- Successfully marketing current contract vessels for 3rd party work and chartering owned assets on long term bareboat/time charter.
- Support the Executive Team by reviewing, monitoring and taking action in the development of strategic growth plans for the Marine Business.
- Lead the process for internal bids for new business and provide professional expertise to contract directors and managers for organic growth.
- To provide SME and bid collation/writing for PQQ’s, EIO’s and ITT’s.
- Develop and maintain a network of relationships with the existing and potential customers, partners and stakeholders

- Provide direct and indirect leadership by being a role model such that all employees understand and adopt the marine and/or contract strategies and plans.
- Lead and be an active member of bid teams ensuring bids are pulled together in a timely fashion adhering to all governance.
- To ensure that all activities comply with health, safety and other legal requirements upon the business.
The right candidate will need to have a proven track record in business development, chartering or broking and have a good post fixture operations understanding.
Commercial, financial and contract acumen with experience in charter parties is essential as the chosen candidate will be working independently on pre fixture dealings.
