We are searching for an experienced Assistant Housekeeper, who will cover the relief Assistant housekeeper role for a small luxury cruise ship, before stepping up to the relief role of Executive Housekeeper, for the same ship.

You must have experience of managing a team of at least 30 people from a multi-cultural background, understand USPH regulations and the necessary practices, have experience of training, good IT and administration skills and be used to organising others.

The Pastry Chef manages a team of up to 8 multi-national crew, overseeing the entire pastry and bakery department onboard a luxury ship, catering for up to 540 passengers.

All products are made onboard, including bread, desserts, chocolates, ice creams and sauces.

You will require a minimum of 2 years in a similar environment, either in a 5* luxury hotel with large banqueting facilities or onboard a small luxury cruise ship, as well as a culinary diploma and specialist patisserie qualifications.

The salary for the role is negotiable, paid whilst onboard, for your 5 to 6 month contract.

Your mission will be to set-up the hotel department for this former cruise vessel (with new owners), ready for its operation as a private yacht.

You will be required to handle dry-dock, pass ISM audit, establish standards and procedures for the new operation, liaise with owners…

You must have strong proven experience as Chief Stewardess of a yacht operation, dry-dock experience, excellent communication skills and experience in managing an international hotel crew

Excellent English language skills required
